The enigma machine can be set up using the predefined setting based on a date or password/passphrase or each individual setting can be set to give a more secure encryption.

The enigma machine can be set up using the predefined setting based on a date or password/passphrase or each individual setting can be set to give a more secure encryption.

ready to go

Once the enigma machine has been set up the machine shows the rotor values and plug combinations.

encrypt

Type a message then get the enigma machine to encrypt it based on your encryption settings.

encrypted

When the message has been encrypted it can be emailed or texted to someone else without anyone else knowing what you the message is.

decrypt

If you receive a message that is encrypted, once the enigma machine has been set up the message to be decrypted can be input (or pasted) so that it is ready to be decrypted.

decrypted

Once decrypted the message can easly be read.
